I need some help with strategy

Me and some friends of mine have started playing no limit hold'em. At first no one knew what they were doing so it didn't matter how you played. Now everyone has developed their own stratgies. I have not been doing so well lately mostly because i can't play aggressivly because i always get short stacked early on and have to play tight the rest of the game. The reason i play so tight is because bluffing is hard with the ppl i play with b/c even with a pair they will go through and check and check and check its hard to tell when ppl have something. the only time i can ever do good is when i get my chip count up and can start to bet and not worry about being reraised by some idiot who likes to check raise the whole night. So my question what should i do when i get short stacked right off the bat or what can i do to aviod it all together???

If you're getting slowplayed a lot bet hard early in hands. If you bet 1BB on the flop and get called it really doesn't tell you anything. If your called you be up against low pair, a gutshot straight, A-high, or a monster, you'll gain no information. Betting more early in hands is an excellent investment. Also, look at the board. When the third suit hits on the river and some sandbagger checks to you, don't bet. Checking the river with a winning hand costs much less then betting the river with a losing hand.

I think i recognise some game conditions i used to play in 6 mounths ago.

A bunch of loose preflop and agressive on the flop players who thinks they got you by the balls...

The strategy is to play it very agressively. I mean dont enter the pot with a call and never raise less that 3 times the blinds. Always reraise the checkraiser with top pair. (in this condition the check raise is often a bluff when your oponent feels weakness in your bet)

Only play the big hands like AA KK QQ JJ TT 99 AK AQ... AJ KQ 88 77 can be added in late position... again, you have to raise with those

Also play small pockets in late position and suited connetors + AXs with more than 2 callers if it cost less that 5% of your stack and look to hit the flop hard. Trips, 2 Pairs, nut flush draw, flush draw and open enders, flush draw and over cards... etc... if you dont hit hard, you outta there.

BTW this strategy is pretty good under many game conditions. And sometimes play your drawing hands, the way you are playing the first series I listed... You'll win a lot of blinds and bet like this!!!

agressive is the way to go here.. the thing about people who check-raise is they think they're better than they really are.. their only strength is their concealed hand strength and the fact that they're making you timid to bet them (letting them get their draws fast and cheap).. raising preflop makes them pay to play for trash hands that they love to just call with and get a lucky flop.. you'll bleed them dry if they wanna play that way.. then when you bet at them on the flop.. they're going to have to make a decision then and there about their hand.. and you'll know exactly what they have..they'll either call you or raise you.. then you can put them on a hand depending on how tight they are.. but most of the time they'll fold.. you'll bleed them dry there to.. when you be though.. don't bet the min.. always bet the balance of the pot.. for example (25cent/50 cent blinds) you raised preflop to 1.50$.. and you got 2 callers.. plus the blinds.. there's 4$ in the pot.. after the flop you bet 4$.. not 50 cents.. if someones on a open straight draw their odds are 7-1 agains hitting it.. you're not allowing them the right odds... you'll see.. play like this and all those check raises won't have enough chips to even just call your bets.. let alone raise you..
