If you were ordering custom movie-themed chips....

Posted Tue Feb 01, 2005 6:03 pm GMT by PanthersHUTCH15
The Star Wars chips posted recently got me thinking...If you were ordering custom movie-themed chips, which movie would you design your chips of?

We haven't had a unique little topic like this for awhile so just for fun and because I am bored, respond if you have an idea.

I thought for awhile and came up with two that I would have it narrowed down to, and I might just make a set of these one day.

The first would be a Back to the Future chip with the characters on the face...Marty McFly, George McFly, Biff Tannen, Doc Brown, maybe Principle Strickland, Lorraine....All from the 50's.

The second would be Office Space themed chips...I would include Peter, Amir, Michael, Lumberg, Milton, and a few others..Definately the O-face guy.

Well, If you have an idea post it...If not this topic will disappear in a few days....

Well, after seeing the "Star Wars" labels, I'd have to say it would be hard to top that movie theme so it's #1 on my list.

Other than that if I wanted that style of chip, I'd go with X-Men. Comic style art would probably be better than movie stills though. If you're not a fan of X-Men, could easily be replaced with your favorite comic.

What about The Craken!?

You could put it on a $1000 or $5000 and when you really move in announce," Let loose The Craken!"

I appologize for this post.

Absolutely... of course the Godfather with pictures of the family members, or maybe Monty Python's the Holy Grail with pics of the Knights. You could do Scarface, which would rock, pic out various messed up pictures from various movies - Horror, Jason, Freddy, Michael Meyers, Leatherface; Sickos - Michael Madson from Dogs - Damn... that old guy from Blue Velvet with the damn mask on his face - Jack from Now I forgot the damn movie - the one where he goes stir crazy - with the picture of his face through the door - how classic would that be...

Man, I got a million of em...

The only thing I could think of really was The Godfather.

Not to kill the creativity but, will jason and lynbark do labels with copyrighted material?
Just a thought.

Since the Star Wars Chips inspired this thread, I'll say that a good Spaceballs set would rock.

Well, Brent did the Star Wars chips...but I did mention that LucasFilm might want to have a word with him if he starts making a big profit with them. I'm sure they could do the labels and just not show them on their websites or auctions, and we could post images of the chips here saying "look what my good friend Brent/Jason did for me in his spare time for FREE." Wink That'll fool the big copyright lawyers, right?

I've pointed out many times that Resorvoir Dogs is the ULTIMATE movie theme for chips, since the colors area already chosen for you.

But otherwise, how about Lord of the Rings?

You guys left out Mr. Brown - QT himself.

And of course my idea was that for Mr. Purple you get yourself a black suit and sunglases. "Mr. Purple is some other guy on some other job."

I think these would make great chips. because you could use the silohuetes not real pics. The silohuetes would give a better look to the chip.
You could use the edge spots for the character color and keep standard casino colors.

I like any of Quentins movies. Resevoir Dogs would be awesome, as would Jackie Brown or Pulp Fiction or Kill Bill. I would also like to have Team America chips. (I have a twisted sense of humor, I love that movie).
