How to improve my play with aces ? Is it correct that no ace should be played with a kicker offsuit under 9 ? What about a 5 surely that is good as it can make a wheel ? Could one of you be nice enough to advize me on how to play with an ace ? I think my play with aces could be a big hole in my game as i generally play all of them ! Any advice would be appreciated.

Everything in poker is situational, there is no hard and fast rule. In general though, folding A9 and lower preflop is a good idea.

However, if I am playing against someone lose that calls w/ any 2 cards or a very tight table, I may raise in late position w/ any Ace.

Next time you play, lay down any Ace without a J or better. Then keep a mental note about how many times you lost a potential pot vs how many times your saved money. You may be surprised at the results.

As always, it is very dependent on situation and position on the table. In general, I try not to call an Ace with anything lower than a 10 outside of strong position, although Axs (Ace and a suited small card) can be good if you can expect decent implied odds in a loose game. Suited Ace + Face Card is usually worth at least a call (often a raise), and AK should almost always be raised, except perhaps in very low limit games where almost no one is liable to be scared off pre-flop. Remember how much higher your implied odds are with suited cards, regardless of your position, since an Ace-high flush is often the nuts in many limit games.

Axs is good if you can see a cheap flop in a NL game. Just don't fall in love with it if an A hits, because you're probably dominated. Axo is garbage. x = 9 or less.

If you can limp in with Axs, I think you'd be crazy not to play it.

I think everyone has given good advice here. As they stated, every hand is situational. I usually won't play any kicker under nine unless they're suited, I'm already in a blind or I can limp or raise with it on the button. It just depends on the table as far as limping vs raising goes. Short-handed (5 or fewer) and A is pretty good no matter what the kicker, but like they said, don't marry it.
I think so many players overvalue aces, especially at a full table. A 2 offsuit is great if the 345 or A2x comes on the flop, but every other time it's a waste of money.
