My chip design

Posted Fri Feb 04, 2005 9:05 am GMT by Wiley
Looking for a little feedback on my chip design. Colors are set and chips will be done on the ASM Horsehead mold.

First time trying to post pictures so if I didn't do it correctly my appologies.

Thanks

I like it, classy.

That is the one thing I think I regret on my chips, I wasted $50 on color. It wasn't needed.

Clean, straightforward design, and uncluttered. Looks great! :D

Very much the classic look of chips in the pre-Chipco age. That ASM rope mold goes well with it too.

Finally! Someone with taste. These are very nice chips. I'm not wild about the edge spot color for the 10 (blue chip) but the others are outstanding as well as the centers. Excellent design!

-EDIT-
I looked at them again and thought this. The Roman inlay definitely fits the best. My only other suggestion would be that because "Trents card room is printed straight backcross it makes the denomination look upside down. I would only say that "Trents card room" should be printed in a circular pattern around the outside of the inlay with the tops of the letters to the outside of the chip so that it has to be turned to be read.

I like the design as well.

Since you don't have color, which is great, maybe spice it up somewhere else:
Instead of what appears to be "times new roman"
I might fool around with some different fonts for the "Trent's Card Room"
text. Looks a little bland to me, too "newspaperylike"

Unless of course you were going for this look, then it works.

Just my constructive critisism, that's all.

i was also going to suggest some font stylizing. i agree with everyone, the design is awesome.

One thing i might do.Lose the denomations unless you are gunna be using these specif. for cash games.

Other than that their great.

Or at the least consider removing the denom from the 10 for flexibility. Can use it as a 1, 10, 50, or 500 depending on the format / game.

EDIT:
Roman looks best of the molds fort his design.

Consider changing the font or adding some stylization.

That blue chip needs a little help. Consider blue / light blue?

Nice design.

I want something similar with a griffon.

Thanks to all for the replies.

I think I will play around with the font a little more, see what I can come up with.

Hopefully will be ordering from pokerchips.com early in the week. Then the long wait begins.

Will post pictures of the actual chips when I receive them in May????

I like em.

have you though about making the numbers of the values in red?

I dont think they charge for 2 colors.

How about changing the curved bar to match the color of the chip.

Ditto... I'd consider dropping the 10 chip in lieu of either a 500 or a non-denom

Whale, I like the color on your chips :D
I think it adds to the design and would be too plain as a wht/blk graphic.

Wiley... I think PC's suggestion of adding red denoms might look good.
