Hello,
I have read many conflicting reports about the "stackability" of the nexgens? Can someone enlighten me? Does the seemingly improved feel with use reported by some also produce a better stacking chip? How easy are chip tricks with these guys?

I think they stack ok. Much better than regular plastic chips. Chip tricks are easy with them. They shuffle nicely.

I don think the people who say they dont stack well actually own enough of these. I have a set of Chipcos and the Nexgens stack HIGHER, at least on my poker table. I can stack 100+ with no effort....

I can shuffle 20 with no problem. The heavy weight makes them easier to shuffle. The finger roll is easy. Front to back. Twirl. All easy. I have 1/4 inch high density closed cell foam under billard felt on my table and they stack over a hundred with ease. On a harder surface (say your dining room table) many more. The crosshatching on the surface really makes the difference in feel and stackability as opposed to a 11.5g plastic chip.

Just as a follow up question, besides the obvious visual difference, is there any tangible difference in the "Las Vegas" nexgens and the "River Poker Tour" nexgens? Weight, stackability, feel, sound, etc?

yes. the rpt has no crosshatching and thus the stackability and feel is greatly affected. I have 25 samples of the new rpt and the edge spots are fantastic but the plasticy feel is way more prominant than their las vegas counterparts.
weight and sound are no different.
