Is it just me, or does this bug you too? At my poker room, Canterbury Card Club, you can order up anything from a full menu and have it served to you while you are in a game. I always seem to have an overweight hungry guy stuffing his face while trying to play. Not to mention the smell. (Sometimes good, sometimes horrible!) Have had sticky cards, crumbs on the table, spills but most irritating is the distracted play.
Sir, Check-Bet-Fold! Uh, ya, just a minute.....gotta wipe my face off.....Ok....yea......
What do you guys think? Is it just me?
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

advantage for you: if they are eating and playing and they get serious about a hand, chances are they are not on a bluff. i read somewhere that someone who plays a hand while also distracted with something else (example stacking up chips after taking down a pot) usually isn't just fooling around. just a slight edge for you anyways. advantage for them (me): not famished anymore. i like that we can eat there. now just to work on a table for smokers.

Everyone thinks that. Makes for a nice bluff set up.

Yeah it depends on what they are eating, I've done it as well a couple of times.
Sometimes the smell is horrible though.

Even worse, all Poker Menu food seems to be finger food. Most fools will be ruffling chips that 100s of people have had their hands on, and a minute later, their shuvling french fries into their mouth.

I only eat when I'm out of a hand and I always ask for extra napkins so I don't grease up the cards.

i had the pleasure of sitting next to an old man that was eating the most foul smelling hot pockets i have ever seen. he refused to use a side table and he put the paper plate on the rail right next to me. it was all i could do not to just toss them on the floor.
