Last week we saw the new NexGen 10-8002 series (the "Las Vegas" chips), and updated 10-8100 series (the "River Poker Tour" chips).
Does anyone know if there are any plans to update the 13g 10-1500 chips? And if so, are there pics, or when these updates might happen?

that chip isnt a nexgen chip. that was before nexgens and most people here would say ( judging by past threads and pokerchipreviews) that they do not like these chips. they chip easily but are very rubber like. I dont think they will update these because there is no market for it.

I must be one of the few, but I like the 13g ones much better than Nexgens. The softness is WHAT I like better, because they feel like clay, not plastic. The Nexgens are just too slippery, despite the crosshatch pattern. Both take labels well, if you want.
Two negatives against the 13g chips: Too heavy (this is a positive to most people in home games), and they are a tad too thick, but not too much.

Cool.. got it. I always thought they were. Imagine that, being led astray by people selling these on e-bay... haha.
