Got myself in a sticky situation where I needed a backdoor flush to get to the nuts. . .

what are the odds on this?

Not very good.

Just off the top of my head:
The odds of the first card hitting are 10/46
The odds for the 2nd card is 9/45.

Multiply them together, you get 90/2070 which is a little under 4.4%
or about 1 in 21.

dont bother with this... it can add 2 outs to a close call situation... example: open enders with 1 over card, but it as no value by itself.
