The railing looks much better than average. What type of felt are you using? I am going to build one myself and feel confident except Im concerned how the railing will turn out.. any hints?

redd38- I like both a lot, but I prefer the regular style. The wooden racetrack really makes it look like a nice piece of furniture though.
Circlen- For the rails you basically just have to take your time and you will have to go back and redo certain areas on pretty much every rail you do so get some good quality vinyl that wont tear and only do enough staples to hold it in place the first time around, then after the rail is dont go back through and pull out the staples in areas that arent as tight. Another trick is to kneel on the rail to compress the foam as your pulling the vinyl tight to staple it. A useful tool is a pair of canvas pliers (art store) they wont rip the vinyl and let you pull really tight. Another set of hands is always helpful on this part but Ive done most rails by myself and havent had any problems. HTH
