Hey, I know there seem to be a decent amount of forum members that hail from the UK. I'll be flying to London in a few weeks and just wanted to know what the deal is with gambling there. Are there casinos, poker rooms, etc?
Something tells me I won't be able to visit any Native American casinos on reservations...
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

No Native American casinos no, but you'll see plenty of Indians
Someone reassure me that that's politically correct to say 8)
If you're going to be based in London itself then probably the main Casino is the Grosvenor Victoria Casino (pronounced grove-ner)
Victoria Casino
150-162 Edgware Road
London
W2 2DT
England
Tel: 020 72627777
or the
Stakis Regency Club
The Imperial Hotel
61-66 Russell Square
London
WC1B 5JS
Tel. 0207 833 1881
There is another one as well but i can't recall the details.
In the UK you cannot just walk into a casino and start playing, by law, you have to register as a member 24 hours before you can play (this should be changing sometime soon tho)
Registration is merely a formality tho and is free most everywhere, all you will need is some form of ID, your passport should suffice for this.
