So im fairly new to the game. I just started about a month ago and found I had a knack for the game. I start playing small. Learning as I go along. I started playing money tourneys aboout a month ago. Im about $120 in the hole. I had won several SnG's and lost most of my money in Multi Table games on the buy in's and not cashing. I thougt I was on a roll. I had just picked up $56 in a $8+.80 cent S&G. I get into another $8 S&G hopeing to doubble up. I make it to the final table (20 players). I had

K Heart J Heart

Flop came up 8 Heart 3 Diamond A Heart

We have this guy at the final table that was the chip leader due to a lucky draw on the river. I noticed he had been loosing alot of pots going for some long shot hands. He bet all in a few times and won only because everyone else folded. He finally caught someone with a lucky 3 pair of 8's on 5th street. I knew this guy was loose. I was up against him in this hand.

I bet $200 and he calls.

Turn card is 5 Heart

I bet $400, he goes all in. Im looking at the board thinking.. What the hell?? Even if he had pocket A's or two pair there is no way he is going to take out my flush. I have the K.

So I go all in against him.

5th street 3 Spade

He turns over his cards: A,3. Full house A's full of 3's.

UNBELIEVABLE!!!

You made the right play, but you cant really blame him for going all in w/ 2 pair and 3 suited and a big stack.

BTW-play more at Pacific and you will see play MUCH worse than that. $8 SNG was at Pacific, right?

Definatly sucks!! $8 S&G's are awesome. 5 people cash. 5th takes home the buy in atleast.

Welp.

I can already see the little bit of reading I have done on this board has paid off. Im currently in 75th place in a 1000 person multi table. We will see how long it lasts.

Damn!! Finished 12th. It was a freeroll for a seat in a $20,000 multi table tournament.

I know freerolls are not nearly as difficult as buy in tourney's but its my best finish in a multi table yet. Good for a beginner. To bad I could not have hung on. Top 5 got the free buy in.

I lost on a small Flush to my 3 Q's. Had pocket Q's.

Q came up on the river along with two smaller suited cards.

We were playing 1000/2000 blinds. I had 50k, he had 75k. Went all in after the turn. So much for playing tight!

I had palyed prety tight all tournament only playing high percentage hands. Seemed to work. Probably because it was a free roll and alot of junk hands were being given more credit than they should.
