Are there any good books out there about the mathmatical side of poker.
Id actually like to find a book or several books on the matmatical and stratigic side of poker.
Im a tight agressive player if that helps on recommendations.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

I am not sure of a book soley for poker maths, maybe a game theory book. I would recommend Theory of Poker which gives an overall view on the theory side of poker. How to calculate outs, some game theory etc,

Sklansky's your man. Most of his well-respected theories and strategies are based on the mathematics. His books aren't the easiest to read, but if you're mathematically inclined and proficient, you'll learn a lot.

Third man in, same answer. Sklansky's Theory of Poker. You master that book, and you may not win, but at least you'll know what odds were that the assclown had to overcome to beat you.
And, from a guy who's lost more than a few $800 pots to some idiot on a one, two, or three-outer...well it doesn't give you one damn shred of comfort, believe me. In fact, it makes it worse.

Thanks for the responses. How about a book on strategy. Any recommendations?

Define "strategy."
There are a ton of poker books out there. Some are very good for specific games.
The Theory of Poker will help you understand WHY certain strategies work in any game, and that's going to help you overall. If you want to specialize in a specific form of the game, you'll certainly have to delve into specific literature.
Save the game theory for later, after you get a feel for everything, unless you're really into math, or were the captain of the chess club or something.

Would you prefer that book is you mainly play NL Texas Hold'em.
It seems like its about the broad category of poker.
would it be useful enough to buy it if your only interested in NL holdem
