There are too many factors to be taken into consideration to answer this question simple.
How big is your stack, how big is bb's stack, what stage are you at, are the blinds and or antes worth stealing, is bb passive or aggressive................

etc.

You just have to take each situation on it's own merit.

Don't get suckered into playing the small blind! I always see players who will play, regardless of their hand, their small blind, even in a single raised pot. Big mistake IMO. Reason being, after the flop, you are in the worst possible position. Not much good can come of it.

I typcially see a lot of kicker trouble in the small blind. I would only slightly loosen my starting requirements (pot odds - you're getting in for half price), but don't make this an auto-call situation.
