Vegas Trip report

Hey folks just wanted to give a report on my experiences from my trip to Vegas last weekend. Flew into Vegas on Friday night for a birthday party. Took a walk around Fremont Street and poked my head into Binions, genuflected in the poker room then decided to play somewhere else where I did not feel like shark bate. I only had a few hours in the late afternoon on Saturday to play, but I’ll take what I can get. I found a decent card room in the Sahara, It seemed to be casual and easy going. At 3:00 PM there were three tables going, all were $2-$4 Texas holdem. When I was seated, I bought in for $60 and looked forward to some good gaming.
Two and a half hours later I had not won a single hand. Late for dinner, I slinked out of there with $14 from my original $60. I could not catch playable cards to save my life. Even when I had something good enough to see a flop with my hand never really improved after the flop. I started to get frustrated and stayed in when I know I should have folded.
I had a pair of aces once, but lost to a straight. I think should have raised early on and maybe he would have folded. But then when he caught his straight on the turn and raised me I stubbornly called when I new my pair of aces was not going to hold.
I have had some dry spells on line before I just hated to have one on my trip to Vegas.
Although I lost, it was still good to get some table time since this was only my fourth venture into a card room.
Does anybody else have tails to tell from card room hell? Has anybody else gone into a card room and walked away with out winning a single hand?

It's always nice to hear about people's Vegas trips, profitable or otherwise Wink If I had a tale to tell be sure that I would but in this godforsaken little island, there ain't too many card games to speak of!

Holy Cow!! Now I wish I would have played at the horseshoe. I don't think I could have done much worse and I may never get to play there again Sad
