Any more new chips coming out? |

So now that the paulson's have a ship date, does anyone know of any other new chips that are coming out?
Those new nexgens caught me be surprise, I'm wondering if anyone has heard some good rumors, or is in the know.

One of the suppliers that sends me chips has told me of some new stuff coming out in March. Can't provide any details, but it sounds promising.
I hope to have the NexGen review up this evening.

I think I'm getting my samples the same time everyone else is getting their orders....so maybe Tuesday or Wednesday of this week.

Are they really clays or are they "clays"? Who makes them?

hey pokerchipreviews,
I have been trying to decide what chip set to go with for my budget, either get 1000 blank clay chips or nexgens, or a smaller set of clays with inlays, or just getting 1000 faux clays for now and order a nice set later...
...so from what you have heard of new chips coming out, is it worth the wait for me to wait a month or 2 to check out the new chips?

<rant> To be honest, it's kinda getting old hyping chips this way. Some people are trying to make decisions about which chips to buy, but always hinting at other promising chips coming out without any hints or information is kinda lame IMHO. This is why I bought the Nevada Jacks chips, because at the time they were the best reviewed chip. But, that changed, which still never made sense to me. You can't go back and change the review of a movie. Forgive, but this just gets old. </rant>
BTW, still like the reviews!

Is this how some of them get rid of lead by putting them into poker chips? 15grams? Haven't they realized by now, it's not the weight of the chips that make the chips good?
Next we'll see chips at 18g and so on....

TenPercenter has some clays or something cooking and he wont announce for another 2 days. look for those. not sure why he needs more chips because the Egyptians look good enough to me.

Apparently Holdempokerchips.com is coming out with a new clay. Cool thing is the mold is not the same as all the other blue chips.

Heh, exactly my thoughts. It's the same marketing mumbo-jumbo that Intel foisted on the public by equating CPU-clock MHz with performance. Soon you'll start seeing ad copy that reads:
