OK gang. NexGens are up. 4 different kinds.

If any of you that have customized your NexGens and would like them on the 'Custom Chip' section, please PM me.
Many thanks,
John

Thanks for the review the John, but I think a separate review for RPTs (specifically the latest ones) vs. 8000/8002 would have been in order as there are physical differences (other than appearance) between the two.
This thread discusses the differences that some have noted:

Well...don't know what to tell you. I scratched, I shuffled, I stacked...heck maybe I even sniffed....all 4 versions of the NexGens handle and feel exactly the same to me.
Cheers,
John

LOL, point taken...we just have a different "take" on these chips and there is no harm in that.
<thread jack on> I read your review about the Neophyte chips and was wondering if you still have the same positive opinion about them. I ask because they seem to be going for a reasonable price now and look good, but the comments I see from others regarding these chips are usually negative. <thread jack off>
Thanks again,
Ken

Feel 8.5, Quality 8.0, Looks up to 9.5? Thats as high as some of your ratings of clay chips. I suppose your scale is sort of a "compared to what else you could get for this kind of money" thing.
Why do yau have AcePokerChipCompany as the vendor? Other sites have offered these a lot longer. I assume he's paying you something.
If you're in his pocket, I anticipate your review of the new Paulsons will be low. Just kidding:) You've been pretty objective so far.

Yeah...I mean overall, the NexGens have a lot to offer and really are a pretty good chip. I do think they feel and handle better than a few 'real clay' chips out there.
As far as the Neophytes go, I get a ton of emails asking my opinion of the Neophytes vs the ThePokerChipCompany's 'casino style' chips. Between those two, TPCC chips win hands down. Between the NexGens and the Neophytes, I'd have to say the NexGens are better...but the difference isn't as dramatic as the TPCC comparison. I actually moved the Neophyte rating down slightly last night.
As to why the link goes to AcePokerChipCompany - he's the one that sent me the sample. That's how all the reviews work. I'll be putting a review up of the 'blank' Neophytes shortly and I got samples from 2 different vendors....so you'll see both the links on the review. I can promise you that any $$$$$ I get is for specific ads and doesn't affect the reviews.
Cheers,
John
