Ok im doing a 7k mtt. I havent got many nice hands but built a ncie stack to 7k and them in dealt AQs against the sb and raise him all in for 2k, he calls quickly with a6 and flops A6. hmmm down to 5k , oh well i used to this arent i lol.
Bit later JJ, (usually limp) but decide to raise to 750, another guy re raises to 2k him allin . I call, he flips over ak and another guy who has liike 300 is all in with a3. Board is 4887...K LOL.
Ok down to like 2.6k, im in SB with ATs and a guy in mp raises 3 times blinds to 900 and i think im behind but decide to mvoe in . I say in chat " good game guys, i know im behind here." .....he thinks and "i know u got a big hand but here goes" and flips over JK....i quickly lose respect for this guys bet and await my latest sob story when the turn brings a jack. So thats me out, not exactly bad beats...I know luck is a factor in poker but doesnt the law of averages mean I should have my luck even out? I mean i really never can win when im all in preflop.
You have to have at least some normal luck to win mtts , what chance do i have if im particularly ul. I know u guys see me as a whiney bitch , and I can admit lol I AM. But i dont know what im doing wrong I lose every coin toss, every time im favorite and when im behind (thought this is rare :D )
I mean theres not much mercy there , a normal luck guy or a guy a bit lucky would come away with 3 nice wins and be chip leader but im out with nothing. Oh well , just a nother btiching session for me. Tell ya what, i stop the venting when I dont get f*ck everyday. Beleive it or not i am a pretty successfull poker player , jsut these all in pre flops rape me.

Keep in mind to have success in an MTT you have to win several big hands when you are only a slight favorite. So, odds are along the way you will lose some big hands that you were ahead in. I don't know why you post them all.

"all" as in three showdowns? yeah thats plausible to say the least.
Now on the othre side of the luck spectrum. Last night Im in a 15k mtt. Limp to about 100 players and take a bad beat. Doh! Im down to 93 chips....early to bed tonight
At least 12 straight showdown wins later and 3:30 am, Im getting eaten by 15000 chip blinds and finishing in fifth place...talk about a run of luck.

The way I got to 7k wasnt by being all in pre flop and surviving, they were either family pots where my suited connectors came through coupled with some semi bluffs. Everytime i was all in pre flop I was a fav, and everytime lost. I think i was 70%, 65% and 55%. I should really win at least 1. Forget it though, I accept I am ul in poker. It;s a burden I am used to now lol.

u have to understand that u can't win all the situations in which u are a favourite and that there are days during which u will constantly get dealt crap and "all" your draws will miss, "all" your top pair will be cracked etc...
it just happens to everyone...it's happening to me right now, since monday.
that doesnt make you a more unlucky player than anyone else, that's just how things are, odds have to even out in someway

dunno, I did just flop quad kings and got action. Maybe my fortune is changing?
I won't take a break, mainly cos I win from ringplay and do place in the money in the mtts i participate. When I am not moaoning on here I am quietly winning at .5-1, 1-2 NL.
I am sure these posts are boring you guys and I will stop from now on as there is no conclusion other then just cos im statistically ahead doesnt mean I will win.
I can appreciate you guys get beats and bad runs , think im just more of a sore loser./img

You can get lucky too.
I was short stack in the SB in a SNG with maybe five players left. The blinds were rather high so I really had to win this one or I would be blinded out soon enough. I get dealt 10 9 and decides to call. The BB raises and I had to go all in. The big stack also calls. The cards are shown and I'm up against J J and J 10. Oh no!! I can't win. Even my straight possibilities are severly crippled by the J 10. And I need two 9s to beat the JJ. Unless he hits his set of course... What happens? Well, flop really didn't help anyone. Or so I thought. I end up catching a runner runner straight 6-7-8 on the board. Almost the only thing that could have saved me. I end up finishing 2nd although I went very close to winning the whole damn thing.
