Does anyone know when Paulson left the home market?
Was it at the time of the acquisition?
I'd have tried to tie up the market with mutual non-compete: blue chip to have home market (e.g. no 'paulson' tm use, no paulson molds, no inroads into casino/cardroom market) and BGI not to enter Paulson brand into home market for X months.
Very likely certain manufacturing techniques are verbotten to blue chip or perhaps they don't have some of the equipment necessary... Or it may be something as simple as a required 'under' or 'overweight' to their clay chips. Be very interesting to see the terms of the deal... (which would also be under a mutual NDA so that isn't likely)...
