Vegas Baby!!!

Okay I will be in Vegas in April 20-22.

Never been, where should I play? I am sure there are plenty of discussions here, but didn't find them right off.

Staying at the Rio, as far as I know no poker room. (I didn't book it, and it's free)

Belagio has the WPT Tourney of Champs. Don't think I will be playing there. No $25k buy-in, but will stop in to see what I can see. Hopefully Shana Wink .

What are the real must sees, while I am there? I will be seeing Hover Dam, eating, tour the strip

I will also be headed back in October.

Thanks in advance for any info.

The Rio, does indeed have a poker room. I was there a few weeks ago, and got my ass burned off in the loosest game I've ever seen.

Second hand in, I was looking at J Heart J Spade 5/10 NL table.

I'm UTG, so I bet $30.

8 callers!!!! 8 Callers!!!

A $50 raise from the Button, and I go all in at $200 total.

Flop comes rainbow rags, and I think my JJ's are good.

Nope.

$50 raise came from a guy holding 2-3o, and he made 2 pair.

Anyways, trying not for this to be a bad beat story, but oh well.

I would suggest you hit the room at the Flamingo. Or, I know they run a fairly low stakes game at the IP. 1/2 NL, and 2/5 NL...but the [players there play a slower game.... (thank God..) That's where I had to win all my money back lol...

Enjoy your trip.

Mandalay Bay has a nice poker room - that is where I always play. Mirage has the largest and the Rio is fairly close.

We are going to be hitting the Mirage mostly next week, I hear it's good Wink

Mirage is great. 6/12 is very loose, 10/20 is tighter and often full of retirees. NL games too. Ask for comps-new buffet there great, but only give coupons for free eats twice a day.

It is killing me not to be there. Tear it up boys!

Lower limit NL tables ($100), Excalibur and I hear from a few locals that Harrahs isn't bad either.

I hate the 40BB capped buy-in structure at the Bellagio, but the 2-5NL game is great. Get it while you can.
