Sorry if this is in the wrong location.
Just purchased World Poker Championship for PC and wow, it really sucks! I just wanted something to play on the laptop for trips when internet is not available.
Does anyone know of any good PC games that play no limit hold'em realisticly. The AI in this game makes no sense and is painfully slow.
Costco sells it for 15 and I wouldn't spend that amount again.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

If you want it to be realistic. Wilson software is the best. It is set up to be more of a teaching tool, with the ability to run reports and analysis. And the graphics suck.
But they pack so much in terms of the simulations, that if you want it to be realistic based on the style of play and AI. I doubt you can find anything better.
Problem is that it ain't cheap, and there are different version based on what type of poker you want. They even have a tournament version.

The other one that I've heard good things about is Poki Poker's Poker Academy. How does that stack up against Wilson's Turbo Poker?

The Wilson Version is really confusing in terms of clarity (whats what/ whos got what, position, pot size. etc....) . But Ive heard its supposed to be the best when it comes to the bare bones calculations.

I have the DD game also. Its pretty good and does offer some basic statistics such pot odds. It also provides a blinds timer for real poker games.
