A qick search turned up no list on here of the best poker movies. Do you all already have one and if not can we get one going. I just found out about Shade today so I went out and picked it up (used $16.99 ouch) and I was wondering how many other great movies about poker I never knew about. Well Im not sure if Shade is a great poker movie as I havent watched it yet but I will soon.

WOW, that really blows that I got burned on the used copy. Oh well.
Thanks for the Finders Fee info. Ill have to check itout.
Shade is pretty cool, mostly about cheats and the even show you how to cheat in the special options on the DVD.

Well, they show how REALLY good magicians cheat. That stuff at the begining? Damn. I wish the movie lived up. It is a good DVD package tho.
If you don't already own rounders, there's a special edition DVD with a couple great commentary tracks and some decent extras...

The Cincinatti Kid is a decent movie, it's really old and I don't think it's even on DVD. It's about a local poker hero taking on a legend.

I don't know if this counts, but "Lock, Stock, and two Smoking Barrels" is a cool movie. The majority of the movie is spent trying to pay off a huge debt incurred in a POKER game.
The best part of Shade is the opening and closing credits!

The only one that I know that's not previously stated is Maverick. I guess it was an okay movie.
