where can I find info on how the betting goes in a pot limit game?

i can tell you, in a pot limit game you may bet no more than the size of the pot. example: the pot is 20$ so you can bet anything from 1$-20$ but not more than 20. then there are some rules for minimun bets sometimes. like you can't bet less than the big blind or you can't bet less than the previous bet.

Leo is right in what he says but there is one thing that needs mentioning - the size of a permissable raise (as opposed to an opening bet in any given betting round).
If you wish to raise, the size of the pot (i.e. your maximum raise) is calculated as the chips in the pot before you act + the amount you need to put in to call. For example, say the blinds are 50 / 100 and there has been two callers and I want to raise the maximum then the amount of my raise is 50 (SB) + 100 (BB) + 200 (2 callers) + 100 (my call before raising) = 450. My maximum raise is therefore 450, making it 550 to play in total.

yeah, thanks, i tend to forget to mention that. twice it's happened that people says: i raise the pot.
and i go: then put X more chips in
and they go: but you said i could only bet what's in the pot!
and i go: right, you can bet what's in the pot after you call, sorry.
