Great show-great poker. One side note:

Back on 10/7 I made a marathon post on my trip to Vegas and 30 hours of holdem @ Mirage and Belagio during my "work" seminar. Anyway-at one point I mentioned raising w/ 85, flopping the nuts and winning a HUGE pot. The hand wasnt that unusual, but that raise got me lots of calls the rest of the weekend since a lot of the players were the same. The guy who paid me off w/ a big pair (forget if it was AA KK QQ) was a dealer that played after his shift every night. Great guy, very soft spoken, solid/tight player. Everytime I raised preflop, he would give me a look, then call w/ some weaker hand than he would to other players raise.

Lo and behold, it was the guy dealing the WPT tonight! Go figure...my brush w/ TV. Not as glamous as Traflaz sharing a table w/ pros, but I guess I will start w/ a TV dealer. Even though some famous pros play at Canterbury, I havent shared a table with any yet.

Did I mention Shana looked great?

Couple of things I thought about the new format:

(1) They finally put in odds for each player, and I think they are even counting dead outs.

(2) I have no idea what Mike Sexton and Vince VP were doing in the preshow. Something w/a clipboard.

(3) Shania is aging beautifully.

Juada: I am really, really impressed. He made great preflop decisions. Just perfect preflop play.

Scotty Ngyuen: still decent. just got picked off a few times in the beginning and then tilted.

Kaplan: Just terrible. His hand against Juanda was embarrasing. Juanda looked nervous putting in that river bet w/the four flushed board. Raise!!!!! For god sake, at least bet the turn!!!! BACK TO THE KIDDIE POOL.

Watkinson: solid, boring, predicatble, but profitable. Also embarrasing when it went head's up. "I guess you have a king" WTF was that. . .I was pretty impressed w/his all in Q8. If i was in Eli's seat, I fold because of Kaplan but it looked like Eli felt like he had the best hand.

Eli E: well played. Nothing to amazing about any of the hands he played. Maybe the A-10 hand when he tagged Watkinson at the river. Good fold w/J4. I thought he might go a little crazy there and go over the top, but he settled down in time. Other than that, meh.

Minnesota: Didn't show enough of his hands. Although I agree w/Sexton about Minessota busting out w/his JJ. A stop and go would've probably worked.

All in all, very good show, highlighted by Scotty's exit interview.

Can't wait to see Doyle next week.

I disagree on Kaplan...he played great.......

As for Juanda looking nervous putting in that river bet......yeah right.

So you would have raised allin with a four flush on board with rags? I do agree that turn bet would have been fine.....but once it gets to the river...and Juanda makes a play....you gotta fold unless you have a high flush card.
