Bad playing or screwed by a fish?

So what do you guys think? I thought I played it fairly well. I prolly should have been raising more after the flop but I was pretty darn sure he was on a draw and when the final spade didn't come I thought I had it....

He was a dope, but not an a-typical online player. If you dont bet at least pot, often more, people will chase. It seems that most players will assume that another is bluffing instead of realizing that they are weak.

I am kind of surprised he called that 200 on the turn, but when he did I would have been thinking flush. As a result, I would have slowed down the betting on the river. I'm not as experienced as some of the others around here so I will be curious to hear what they say.

This guy was a typical idiot. I don't know what he was playing at, but then theres nothing strange about me losing pots to guys like this, so what do I know?

I hate the way you played it. You need to bet the pot on the flop. I just assume he has a spade, and is going to fish for it. If he wants to risk 1/3 of his stack looking for a flush, I let him... but he's going to have to pay.

Then why bet the turn if you're going to make a terribly weak bet?

If you're going to make a weak bet, check/call. Most online players will not stab at a 4-flushed board unless they have it.
