Ring games for real money. Please check out some of these hands and let me know where I went wrong. It is so much easier to see it when you are reading afterwards, but there are a few I'm not sure on. The table was pretty tight, but I am not good at judging that yet either.

you played it perfectly on flop, turn and river...that was just unlucky that the guy rivered a full house bigger than yours.
However I'm not a fan of raising preflop with 88 and 3 limpers before you.

Well, I was going to comment, but ScanX pretty much took the words out of my mouth.
The raise preflop was not the best of plays. You very well could have had the best hand, but you never want to play 3 bets to see the flop with a medium pair (if someone had reraised you). Besides, you'll never get an Ace to fold, so there's no sense in tying yourself to the pot by getting more money in there.
Post-flop play was perfect. You just got very unlucky.

Ditto, dont 2 bet w/ med pair...maybe, just maybe you 3 bet, but not very often.

thanks guys, going back and looking at most of the other hands i had problems with, i've been too loose pre-flop. last night i finished up even, which for me isn't too bad.

I was looking for another post and came across this one. I guess I've come a long way since March of '05. I guess.
