In a tourney with some friends a few days ago. $10 buy in, 18 people.
6 people left, final table. I haven't got a good hand in ages, and been folding almost everything due to I was short stack. About $12.
Then I get:
10 10
Sitting there and not playing a hand when it's not my blind. I though I would end up just stealing the blinds with this, so I called the 25c blind.
The flop
J 10 A
The guy sitting next to me raised $2, I raise to $3. (hopeing for no more clubs.) Everyone else fold.
Turn
4
We both checked.
River
4
I've hit my hand. I was thinking he was looking for the flush and hit it, I wanted to crush him here. He raised $2.50, I raised him to $7, he called.
I though I had this won, then WHAM! He slams the A A on the table. I didn't expect this at all. I was wondering why he didnt raise preflop, and why he was betting so low. After I got over that, amazingly I managed to squeez of 3rd place. I didn't got in on much and won the hands I blinded on. But I'll never forget that one.

You gotta wonder why he didn't re-raise you all-in after the river.

kinda reminds me of Rounders. I can just hear teddy kgb saying aces full mikey while showing the aces.
it isnt a rule that you have to raise pocket A's preflop He sure caught you since you thought he was going after the flush, so I guess he played it well that time. I think he would get burned more times than winning by slowplaying aces.
