in a game there was a 10 - 9 - 8 flop with me having 7-A and computer having 7-6 in hands. then 6 and K came down and there was this odd chip :-. and then it was a split pot. dont understand it

Well, u both hit a straight 10,9,8,7,6 to split the pot and if there was an odd number of chips in the pot, maybe the computer did not split it in half but leave it in the middle for the next hand.......

When I have played in casino tournaments, the odd chip goes to the player nearest to the left of the dealer for that hand. In online games, since there are no physical chips to carve up, you will generally end up with xxx.5 chips when the number of chips up for grabs is odd and the pot is split.
