Can someone explain the proper strategy to have when all 3 cards on the flop are suited in a suit you don't hold, but the flop gives you either a set or 2 pair?
The problem with betting into this flop (besides the obvious one that someone may have already made their flush) is that against weaker players, even a 2x or 3x pot size all-in bet will not make them fold their flush draw. So it would seem the options are either to check-fold, check-call, or put in a small bet, not to push players out, but just to juice the pot if you do win.

At the games I play, if someone actually does make two pair or a set, they usually try to drive out the draws with the huge bet, but this usually doesn't have much sucess, because it is hard for a lot of people to lay down the A or K high flush draw. On this kind of flop you are going to have to make a read and decide if someone is on a draw or if they have already made their flush. But anyways, my strategy is to check the flop and if someone bets I will usually call if the price is reasonable. If the next card comes as an offsuit I will check/call a reasonable bet again, and if the river comes off suit again, I will raise huge if I am checked to, or I will put in a probing bet into someone. Something like the potsize works good if you are trying to probe. When this flop happens, I don't mind taking a small pot, because it is better than committing a lot of chips on the flop and then having someone land the flush draw on the river. Its probably one of the most dangerous flops to play so i think consevative is the name of the game.
