What are "classic" chip denomination colors? I know:
$1 - white
$25 - green
$100 - black
...and that's it. What are classic colors for the following denoms, if any?
5 cent
25 cent
$5
$500
$1000
$5000
Thanks!

In Vegas (and other major Nevada casinos) the $1000 chips are usually yellow or orange and $5K chips if they are in the casino at all, tend to vary in color. Outside of Vegas, the colors tend to vary at even the $500 level, though purple and white seem to be common where chips of this value exist. $1 chips are usually white, blue, or light blue and many casinos still use metal slot tokens. Atlantic City seems to be more consistent with most of the casinos using orange for $1000 and gray for $5000 (again, not available in all casinos), though $1 chips are also white or some shade of blue (or metal tokens). Fractional chips can sometimes be found in either 25¢ or 50¢ values (usually a hot stamped plain chip), though there is no consistency in color.
Also, some casinos use $2.50 chips for the 21 tables (for $5 blackjacks) and those tend to be pink.

Below $1 valued chips don't have standard colors, but as a general rule, they're never "prettier" than the higher valued chips. Blander colors and less exciting edge spot patterns (if any edge spots at all).

There's traditional colors and than there's legal. I'm not familiar with Nevada State Gaming regs, so you'll have to check there. Traditionally you have:
.50 = whatever
$1 = white or blue
$2.50 = pink (this is really a black jack chip)
$5 = red
$10 = blue
$25 = green
$100 = black
$500 = purple
$1000 = yellow or gray
In Atlantic City by law the colors must be:
.50 = mustard yellow
$1 = white
$2.50 = pink
$5 = red
$10 = blue
$20 = yellow
$25 = green
$100 = black
$500 = purple
$1000 = fire orange
$5000 = gray

Harrahs, AC definitely doesn't follow rule (e) on that list.
The chips just say Marina Hotel Casino, nothing about AC.
