When both players have the same 5 card hand.
Example:
Player A- K Club K Heart
Player B-10 Club 8 Spade

Board A Spade 4 Heart 3 Diamond 5 Spade 2 Club

Both players have a straight 5 high. The board making a straight negates their hole cards. The only way a player could win instead of splitting is if they had a 6.

Also if both players are holding AQ and the board hits an A. They both would have a pair of Aces with a Queen kicker. Split pot.

And remember there are no suit ranking in Hold'em. a 7 of clubs is just the same as a 7 of spades. And there is no 6th card kicker.

Hey, BeerWinch, I'm confused by your example. Wouldn't Player A win with a pair of Kings?

Always remember that you make the best FIVE card hand out of the seven cards.

The best five cards in her example is the 5 high straight.
