Happened last night. Unbelievable hand in Texas No limit Holdem..Live not Online!!
Three players left..I'm one of the three.
I get K 5
Action on me and I bet 3 K.
# 2 calls
# 3 Calls
Flop comes
Q , J , 10
Player 2 raises to Ten K.
Player 3 calls..
I'm think Hmm..No way in Three handed poker that everyone has flush or flush draw (these guys are Agressive)..So I like my K high Flush in this spot.
I go all in...
Player 2 calls...
Player 3 Calls..
I'm like Damn. I either won a big pot or just got beat by an ace High Flush...Two of us are going home crying for sure!!
I flip over my K High Flush
Player Two has A , 3 (Looks Happy )
Player Three turns over 8 , 9
UNREAL!! But True!!
1. Have any of you seen this? (This was live not online)
2. What are the Odds? Remember only three players
3. How would have you played it? My King high Flush? Against Agressive players who will call almost anything?

well odds are better in live game than online as maybe cards werent shuffled enough and most clubs were close together
as for your play, i'm new to poker but i wouldprobably have done the same

It sure was an action flop. Many complain (me included) about online action flops. Although lately they have been in my favor. Three time in two days in have hit four Jacks at Pacific Poker.
1. I think you have to play a K high flush against agressive players. Had the table been full then yes...there is a better then average chance that the Ace is out there. but Three handed?
2. Who would have put someone (Who only called) on a 8,9 ?

Who cares, poker is rigged altogether...
Seriously, it's pretty insane, yes. You just were very, very unlucky... You can't (it's really hard anyway) put someone on a SF unless it's obvious.

In some poker games, yes. But in Hold'em the cards are merely dealt.
I would agree that high cards may be close together if shuffled very poorly, because holders of high cards are more likely to stay in the game longer. Suited cards are also more likely, but they may be of any suit.

I hate to be the one to say this, but player #3 is the dealer right?
Any chance he could have staged this hand? Where you ever away from the table as he shuffled?
I'm probably just being stupid...but that hand is a little too crazy.

Crazy but true. We were still talking about it this week. I play with these guys regular. Player to the right cuts the shuffled cards..making it nearly impossible to cheat.
We play every Monday. We have a monthly poker party (tourney) once per month..ranging from $10-$25 buy in.
I also play at the local card house. Diamond Jim's Casino in Rosamond, California. Last Tourney I played (last Saturday) I made the final table but placed 10th. Short stacked..went all in with Suited K, Q. Was called by big blind. He had K, 7 off suited. 7 was a diamond. Four Diamonds come on table.
I took home a nice payday and got three bounties for knocking people out..Thats Poker.

exactly what I was thinking. Not that its impossible to be real it just seems a little fishy.

Player to the right cuts the shuffled cards..Making it one hell of a cheat if it went down that way.
He would have to arrange cards right. Know where the cut will be..Nearly Impossible. It was just one hell..once in a lifetime type of hands.

This exact same hand happened in a game i was playing. The funny thing is the jackass with the K flips over his cards after going all in before he gets called. So we all said its his falut if you want to call you can call. The guy with A says he is definelty calling flips it over and goes to take the pot. the the third guy says not so fast im calling as well and flips over the 8 9. The whole thing was f*ck up. The 89 got to see both hands he was up against before calling.

LOL. I don't think he needed to worry about seeing the hands before calling.

A K would have beat him. Very unlikely but still nice to know you have the best hand because you have seen the other guys hands.
