As part of a research effort on the issue of "skill" v. "luck" in NL holdem we are seeking real data on the proportion of hands which end without hole cards being shown. If anyone knows of a source for such data from poker tournaments, even just from final tables at major tournaments, it would be helpful. At this time we are not interested in online games, only casino games. Thanks very much for any suggestions.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

It's gonna be a rough row to hoe to get that for live games. You're best shot is putting on a weekly tournament and having your dealers count.
Also, a showdown doesn't indicate a hand is ended by 'luck' - there's plenty of skill involved in, say, GETTING a hand where you flop the nuts TO a showdown...
