Yes, I recreated the inlays in Illustrator from high rez scans I took while I still had the chips from the movie. The differences are mainly that the real KGB inlay is only 3/4" not one inch and the bear and denom are smaller. I think I will shrink both inlays slightly as it helps with the 'registration' issues when you are printing. Even the giant Xerox printer I used had trouble delivering perfectly centred labels. Smaller artwork would make this slight off centre printing less noticeable.

If you're using the templates from Consolidated Labels, I've never found them terribly great and always ended up having to either modify them, or create my own templates based on their specs.
I don't know what program you're using to output the labels, but the Sure Thing label program that Consolidated suggests will calibrate the output to match your printers and bring the centering in pretty close, but I don't think you'll ever get perfect centering from a computer printer, and I doubt that the size of the printer has anything to do with it, computer printers don't have the same precision as 4 color press. Beside press printed labels are usually die cut after printing rather than printing to a pre-cut label.

Actually the centering was fine, the offset was about 1/8" to the left. I eventually ended up cropping the right margin slightly in Acrobat and it worked out.

i could be totally wrong, but are matsui chips similar to bud jones? or made in a similar way?

Yeah they are similar to bud jones chips. However I like the feel of the Matsui chips much better.

I like Matsui a lot too. All their different chip lines. I'm sure I'll hear plenty of disagreement, but I think their clay chips are superior to even Paulson.

Really? I would be interested in checking some out. What makes them better than the bud jones? I would actually consider buying a set for a cash game but I really like the way Bud Jones marks the denoms on the other edge of the inlay on one of their styles. I would like to hear more abou the Matsui chips.

They didnt send me any clay chips in the sample set they sent me. I got their coin centered and bud jones type chips and they look really nice, but they are very slick. I wouldnt buy a set of their bud jones type just because of that. Wish they wouldve sent me some clay chips though.
