I ran across a web site that is selling oversize Paulson chip (42mm). I am a skeptical about the authenticity since some chips have the hat mold and some do not. Also, their price is too reasonable (50-60 cents per chip). Does anyone know anything about these chips? Are they legit?

Moreover, they are selling what appear to be a new bluechip company product ("Turf Club"). They look very nice and are priced very aggressively. Any thought on these chips (price/quality)???

These sure look like real Paulsons. Paulson does make a 43mm and even a 48mm chip.
Hear is their downloadable PDF file explaining their chip options.

Paulson, as do most other casino manufactuerers, make oversized chips.

These are real Paulson chips. I don't have much use for oversize chips (don't fit racks, don't mix with other chips, etc.), but these have a real Paulson look and feel.
They were made (I was told, but can't verify) for some type of special gambling event and given to participants.
These chips do not show up on the CC>CC fantasy page: http://www.ccgtcc.com/fakes.html
though many other Paulson fantasy sets are shown.
Many baccarat tables use oversize chips, and many foreign casinos have 40mm as their standard chip size (vs. 39mm in US) plus 43mm and other sizes for various denoms.

I have had no problem with spinettis and have purchased from them in the past.regarding the chips however, i suggest doing some research on the chips themselves, and see if these are what you want.the Paulsons in question have the reverse hat and cane mold, which is not a sign that they are bogus.it is a mold that paulson uses.
the turf club chips are made by Blue Chip Co.,and are a quality chip.No edge spots though, unfortunately.Blue Chip is a little too light in the weight and overall feel for my tastes, but you might find that you'll enjoy these chips.getting a sample,if its offered, couldnt hurt.
