I was just wondering when a person goes all in, what happens after that? I'm a bit confused because I know once everyone calls your bet, then there's a side pot, and how are those winnings settled?

Once a side pot is created then:
A) if a person betting in the side pot wins overall then they win the lot (main + side)
B) if the player who went all in wins then they only win the main pot and the 2nd place will take the side pot
