Craziest hand ever. Three years and we finally had a RF |
|

This is one of the most unbelievable hands I have ever seen in a live game.
Background: I’ve played/organized a weekly Wednesday No Limit $20 buy-in (unlimited rebuys) .25/.50 ring game for about the last three years or so. Tonight we had 11 players at two tables. In three years we have never had a royal flush at our game. There was one adhoc slapped together game once a couple years ago with .05/.10 blinds that it hit. But nothing in our regular game.
The hand: The dealer dealt them from his left to right which if you are looking at the picture would be your right to left.
Flop: JcKdKc
Turn: As
River: Ac
I wasn’t at the table but this his how I guess it happened.
6 people:
Pre-flop: Folds around to dealer. He calls.
Flop: SB bets small $2 or $4 on a straight draw/flush draw, BB Called on flush draw, D called with trips Kings.
Turn: SB bets $4 with a straight. CC calls still on a flush draw. D called with trips.
River: SB goes all-in with a royal flush. BB folds. D calles with a Full House, Kings over Aces.
All in all SB almost tripled up he ad $23 to start the hand with about 5 minutes left before we ended. If you’re going to get a royal flush, this is what you want your opponents to have. I think the pot was about $64 or so dollars. Not bad for a $20 buy-in.

I have seen three online..seen not caught.
Tiger Gaming
Pacific Poker
Hollywood Poker
I have seen one in a home game.
I have seen none in live action.
The highest I have ever caught has a J high Straight Flush (Tiger Gaming). I also caught an 8 high straight Flush on Hollywood Poker.

we still havent had one and now we are putting 2$ in a jar per person per game and that will be the straight or royal flush jackpot. Straight flush will get half and a royal all of it.

C'mon you guys!! You should play more often!!
I've seen a few... two against me (one on the flop, that was memorable) and a third one, me hitting it, and that, only in the last year.

Ive been playing for about a year and a half now, and had two personally. One was rags, no one had anything and i bet about 3 bets to go on the river (with about a 3$ pot in a 10/20 cent game (yes were college students! 10$ buyin..) and everyone folded.
Second time, it went like this (one of the best showdowns EVER!)
i was SB, with A-K spades..person next to the BB had 8-9 spades, so he called my minimum raise (around 40 cents or so). Flop came down 10-J spades/rag.. i bet out to about 3x the BB, he called. turn was the Q spades, giving me the made royal flush, and he the made straight flush, both with both hole cards. I check, he bets out $1, i smoothcall. River is a rag, i bet $1, he raises to 3$, i reraise to 5$ (hoping he has a semi good hand, like a flush or straight), he goes all in for about 18$ (10$ buyin, no rebuys), and i call with about 15$.. we turn them over and i hear him say 'striaght flush, why the hell were you calling my foolish bets?!' and i reply with.. 'striaght flush here too.. except to the ace!' and he flipped out. it was a great hand, and it was great to see straight flush vs royal flush.. woulda won us the bad beat jackpot at the closest casino (currently 150000$!)
Enjoy the story, it was fun!

that doesnt make sense because the odds on hitting each are the same. Only reason royal better casue some guy decided to make an ace the highest rank in his little game long time ago.
Oh and i saw a guy flop a royal about 3 months ago and i pooped my pants and then vomited.

Hitting a royal in live play is something you will never forget, within the last 2 weeks I have hit 2 royal flushes and 4 straight flushe's, All on bodog poker which is the reason why. In live play this would never happen the royal flush is a the most sacred hand but in Online Play its not hard to get. Enjoy the treat you witnessed.

Ouch, to think that you folded the two other kings also..
The only time ive ever seen a straight flush/royal flush was when me and my friends were waiting for the 2 last guys for a game, and we were just dealing for fun and i hit one. I got so pissed off that it wasnt a live game

i was playing a live game with my friends, we play $20 unlim rebuy .25/.50 games and cant remember exactly what i had but i think it was 7 9 spades. well flop came down to 8s As Js , my friend had Ad Qs and i bet $1 on the flush and he raised to $3. i called. turn was 3c. i checked he bet $2 and i raised to 6, he called. river came 10s. i went all in and my opponent stopped. he stared at me for hella long and shit, and i was like only one card can beat my flush.... he quickly said "oh really?" and called since i was pretending to have the queen of spades and he flipped it over saying nice try. rolled over my cards and said thanks. was a $65 or so pot

Never had a royal at my home game, but I flopped one online once though. It sucked cause I didn't even have enough chips to cover the BB so I was all-in preflop. I won of course but it only kept me alive for a little longer.

haha, thats gotta suck.
There was a guy at the 5/10 table at the casino. He got two straight flushes in a matter of about an hour and both of them he only had $10 left so he was all in preflop and made almost no money on them.

My friend had it on the flop in an online game. Too bad it was a low limit game.
