Posted Fri Mar 18, 2005 5:05 pm GMT by pie taster
Looks like they got another sale going on at http://nevadajacks.net

BUY (2) 300 pc Desert Sands Sets Get One Free.

Per chip, that's not a good of a deal as the 500 chip set (buy 2 get one free). But not bad...

figures,

just after I bought 1000 of them.

just after I asked them if anymore of the specials will be going on in the future.

Is there a "bend me over and rake me over the coals" sign on my back?

LOL, Jim from Nevada Jacks just asked me to spread the word about this deal. I guess you beat me to it.

Spread the word to Jim that he needs to have a deal on the NJ clays so I can buy a full set.

Is it just the 300 piece sets or are the 500 piece sets also buy 2 get 1 free?

Can you help a brother out...I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on this 900 chip deal. What qty's of each denom would you guys recommend if you want chips for tournaments (~10 people) and low stakes cash games (.25, .50, 1.00) w/ 4-5 people? Or would you just get denom's of $5,25,100,500,1000 and then change the value when you play cash games? Do they ever do this deal on the skulls???

This guy has a good page on this. See this link:

This is a good link too:
http://www.holdempokerchips.com/howmanychips.asp

If you're considering 900-1000 chips, you would probably be able to get enough of 0.25, $1, $5 chips for your cash games and enough $25, $100, $500 for a $25/$50 $5000 stack tourney. Then you can have a policy of never cashing any chip above $5 (idea modified from a post by MeridianFC, thanks), and you don't have to worry about someone taking a tourney chip and using it later in a cash game. But if you're not concerned about this, then get all $25, $100, $500 and use the "divide-by-100" rule when playing for cash--which also would give your cash game a "high stakes" look.
