If you use the method of laying out cards to determine who gets the dealer button in a tournament, how do you decide if two players get say a pair of K's or A's. Is it determined by suit and if so what are the rankings? Thanks.

You only lay out one card for starters and if two people draw, you deal just them another one each. Keep doing this until someone 'wins'.

most places stop at the first ace... so there won't be a situation where there's two of those.
otherwise you just draw another card for the two (or more) players with the same card.

The rankings are:
1. Spades
2. Hearts
3. Diamonds
4. Clubs

Which if you can't remember it is in reverse alphabetical order.
zyxwvut S rqponmlkji H gfe D C ba
This does not work in the Cyrrilic alphabet, However.
the words клубы (Spades) диамантов (Hearts) сердец (Diamonds) лопат (Clubs) are not in alphabetical order in the Cyrrilic alphabet
