When the small blind and the big blind are all-in and lose to a third player, who is the next person to be dealer, small blind, and big blind?

I believe it goes to the small blind, and the guy to the left of the old BB will be the new BB and there would be no SB in the hand. Then the busted BB will be the 2nd dealer, and it will then be back to normailty

i played at the Sands in AC last night and they have a wacky rule that addresses this. They call it the always moving button. It confuses me, but you wind up having 2 big blinds one hand and 2 small blinds the next. I don't get it.

I will try and put it graphically like this:
Hand # 1
Players are in this order:
6 5 4 3 2 1 BB SB Dealer
Let say player No# 5, BB, and SB go all in with Players BB and SB busting out....
If you look at the above, since BB and SB are now out of the tournament, is Player No. 1 the next dealer, with player No. 2 the small blind, and player No. 3 the Big Blind.
I am only asking again, because I was confused with your answer....thanks for your reply.

how we do it is the dealer gets passed to an eliminated spot. No small blind and player 1 would be bb. next hand the deal would again be in the next eliminated spot and small blind would be player 1 and bb would be player 2. We play by the rule that there is always a big blind and no one misses it.
If you automatically make 1 the small and 2 the big then 1 never posts a BB for that round of the table that is why we do it that way.

Does that mean that in my above example, the dealer position gets to be on the button 3 times.....Is this correct.....and if it is, it sounds like a huge advantage having the button 3 times.

in my example then yes. Thats just the way our home games work, im not sure ont he official ruling. But also no one misses a blind our way. Late in the tourney when the blinds are big it would kind of suck for everyone else if player X gets a free round of the table by not having to pay the big blind.
