I finally built my first table and was wondering for those that have done the same, are these folding table legs sufficient for my table, i.e. weight, size, etc.

I haven't used the folding legs myself - I ended up using some wood legs off an old table - but I would say those would definitely work. They look exactly like what 90% of people are using.

Should be fine depending on the type of wood you used?
I used 2 45"x90" sheets of 3/4" birch plywood with similar legs and don't have any problems.

Accroding to the link provided those legs support up to 800 pounds. Your table should be fine.

IIRC the Ebco legs are better than the ones from Home Depot and Lowes. The Ebcos joints are welded all around where as the HD, Lowes ones are tack welded at the joints.

could you post a pic of the underside of the table before you put the legs on? i want to se what it looks like because i might want to build/buy what you have there to put on top of my banquet table

Agreed. The Lowes ones are crap. The table will wobble all over the place. I've build many with the EBCO and they are just great for the money. There are some heavier duty options if you want to pay more.

On your next table, if you have the time, I would recommend actually flush mounting T-Nuts through the top of your table prior to putting your felt/padding on. Then you can screw the legs on via bolts through the entire wood. Makes for a sturdier table. My friend makes them like this and they are awesome. However, I just screw my legs on and it works pretty well too.

LOL, thanks for the tip Toney! I thought about that too when I saw some plans for the race track style table. I was too nervous about trying something like that for my first table, stuck to the basic plans. It's a definite way to go for the next one, as well as some better quality casino felt or something. I went the cheapo velveteen route. Thanks again for the tip!

correct!
i unfortunately made my table with the home depot legs. they hold the table up but it certainly wobbles a bit. luckily they are easy to replace when they finally bug me too much.
