Ok so i go and sign up to Bodog poker on 03/22/05. I played with this guy on a $1/$2 table who was just completely awful. In no time i went from $20 to like $400. So this guy asks if i want to go to a higer table. I figure " why not" it's his money i will be playing with and he is playing just plain BAD! So we move to a $5/$10 table. His awful playing continued. In a few short hours i was up to $1200! Finally he was tired of losing and left the table. Now the next day i play for an hour took a break came back and my account is disabled???? Now i gety on the phone with BODOG and they say that my account was closed because the suspect this guy of making a fraudulent account and me the newbie played with him. Ok so now i ask if they suspected this person of a fraudulent account why was he still able to play? And why was i not warned especially being a new player? I got no answer of course. But Instead got a response or that my account is closed and i can take my business elsewhere and the money i won they will keep!!!! A BIG BOOOOOOO TO BODOG POKER! Does anyone know what i can do about this? What a rip off!

That is quite possibly the worst thing i ever heard.

If they let the guy play on a fraudulent account then it should be their responsibility to make good whatever monies were defrauded, not you!

Unless they can somehow prove a link between you and this guy?

If they can't prove any link, then they pretty much just stole your money.

Why would someone losing so much money want to move to a higher table, unless they wanted to lose more, faster.

Well I've never heard of Bodog poker before this and I'm guessing I'll never hear of them again with a crappy operation like that.

Man that really hurts, how much was your initial deposit that they kept?

At the VERY least you should get that back, I'm sure there's a way to do that though as they're probably an off shore company and there's no way really to hold them accountable.

Did they just close your account or did they take the money away too? If they took the money away, that's terrible. I would report them to someone, it's not your job to prevent fraud.

Or win it back quicker (if we remember they're an idiot).

Sorry to hear what happened to you Wild, this is one of the reasons I use William Hill. If they pull this I’d be straight on to Trading Standards.
