I think I'd call the last turn bet and see the river, especially since you've already called the first one. With the made flush, I'd try to get to the showdown as cheaply as possible on the river.

So which hand won the pot? AQ or JJ?

Actually, after that ugly flop I would have slowed down and just start calling his bets through the river. (I wouldn't have raised in other words.) I would have read his preflop raise as two high cards. By the river he could have easily filled his full house. You've got a strong hand too though so I think I would call him through till the end, just try to reduce the damage by not reraising.

Of course, I suck at limit poker so who knows?

Sure. But in the face of a reraise I would think the flop was a lot prettier to someone else.

Sure, at that point they might have a made hand and should work to protect it. But, if he makes his nut flush, he is gonna get paid out nicely. If, I have ATs I dream about flops like that, so someone will make second best hand.

I know you are getting the odds to call on the turn, but you might be looking at second best hand. I think your fold was a good move, that turn sucked.

I agree with one of the above posters... I put him on AQ or JJ for the boat.

Good fold... not sure I would have it in me to fold, especially if I saw that river and made the nut flush.

Ok, a little background

Bigstak was an idiot and I woulda called anything he bet, he coulda had absolutely anything, he bet 90% of the time.

Guns, the reraiser, was fairly passive and his bets were usually well thought out. On this hand his betting was SUPER fast, this was completely out of character and it really scared me. I actually put him on rockets.

It was tough as hell to make that fold, but the raise on the turn made me 99% sure I was beat.

Turns out you guys were right, he had AQ, the other guy had K9o

Thanks for the input guys, I was kinda wondering how blatantly obvious it was what he had, I was pretty proud of myself for making that fold though. A week ago there's no way I make that fold. I think I'm getting there Smile

At least I read it right. Smile I have to admit I don't think I could fold. Maybe I would think differently if I had been in the game.

Nice laydown.

Good fold, it easily could have cost you 6 more big bets to find out your nut flush was no good. At this point you have to know your aces are no good and you only have a 1 in 5 chance of hitting your draw, which may be dead.

Good fold. You made the right choice, especially with an idiot raising with anything, severely increasing the price to see the river.
