Alright we all talked bout how much money we spent to buy products for poker in the "do I have a problem" topic, while hopefully using the supplies to actually make money, some of us (myself included) spent a ton of money on stuff that we did not need or were just flat out disappointing.
What would be your biggest waste of money and/or product disappointment?
For myself I would say my bi-fold 48" octogon table top was a waste. I bought this top off of eBay in October or November of 2004. This was before they made a nifty quad-fold which is much smaller. The table top is heavy, cumbersome and not practical. Besides I way overpaid on the shipping to find out I could have bought the product at Walmart ot Target for a fraction of the cost. So I quickly spent more money replacing this with a stretch-tight velveteen table cover from eBay, which is a really awesome product for my table. Total cost for both items and to solve my conflict around $110.

Well, I have played poker for a few years, but just became a "chip junkie" last year. I then bought some dice chips (overpaid), sold those for less than I paid, bought high roller plastic chips then returned those 2 days later, then bought 9 gram las vegas chips (overpaid) and re-sold those for less, then bought a set of TR King Casbah's, sold those for a profit, now just bought James Bond Paulson's in the group buy.
My point is that I always wanted a nice set of Paulson's or TR Kings with edgespots, but I just kept settling for less. I should have just bought what I wanted originally, but ended up spending about 400 dollars on chips before actually buying the paulsons (which ended up being less than $400. Re-selling the Casbah Club chips for twice what I paid helped out though :D

The Desert Sands set... not because I don't like the chips, but because I didn't look around at all before I bought them. If I had waited 3 days, my NJ clay samples would have come and I would have just gotten them in the first place. Speaking of which, the $25 NJ clays are up there too... all of the other denominations are awesome, but the $25 are all kinds of f*cked up. I don't understand it.

#1: The "slugs" that everyone seems to have made the mistake of buying before we all "knew" better.
#2: Phil Hellmuth's "Play Poker Like the Pros" (Sorry Nate)
