Well, I don't post here too often, but I do read this forum alot. Tonight I feel a need to vent.
I won a set of 300 "custom and high quality" poker chips for placing 5th in a freeroll on checknraisepoker.com and honestly I can't say I'm thrilled about it.
Now normally free is free and most of the time free is good. The reason this sucks though, is that the top 4 players won respectivley $10,000, $5,000, $2000, and $1000 entries into events at the WSOP.
ARGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, I know you guys love to debate chips. According to support they're "definately not el cheapo plastic" ones.
If I get them, I'll post pics. They may also be for sale if anyone's interested.

It's always tough to finish on the bubble. Most of the time you (I!) get nothing, so at least you'll have some chips. They'll at least be good enough to throw at the TV or the computer screen when you see something you don't like....

Or he can throw them at the guys that beat him in the freeroll, while he watches them on Tv  .

Well, I got a pic of the chips and they appear to be Chipco's, not "el cheapo plastic" 11.5g hot stamps.
I get 75 White, 75 Red, 75 Green, and 75 Black.

Yup, nice chips, but if they're only giving you 300, should be at least 100 each of 3 colors. 75 of 4 will be very limiting. You probably don't have a choice though. I would find out if you can buy more, or specify how many of each color you want.

They said the numbers of chips, 75 of each color, are pre-packaged and I don't have a choice in that. They also said though, something could probably be worked out if I wanted more. I'm hoping I can use player points to get some more whites and reds if I like them when they show up.

Yeah, w/o 100-200 of at least 2 colors, not much of a playable set unless you only have 3-4 people.
